How to Choose the Perfect Outfit.

The older I get, the less I care about if my clothes make me look like a girl, a boy, or anything in-between. What I'm saying is: the more comfortable I am in my own skin, the less I care about how I look to other people. This post isn't about my musings on sexuality and gender, but rather on imposed rules of gender in clothing. As a woman we are often told how we should dress, from magazines to men, they seem to have it all figured out for us and honestly it's not all with oppressive intent. Sometimes its great to see what's trending, if you're into that, and if you're trying to lure your next bae or not offend current bae, it's nice to have their opinion about what's visually appealing, however they should ultimately care about what them insides look like. :) Anyway, I am recognizing its less about what you wear, but how you wear it.

I once thought I needed Jordans or needed a Bubble jacket from KJ's, but when you don't have the resources to "need" trendy items, you come up with your own sense of style and trend. It was the best thing that ever happened to me in Middle School. Since then I've been experimenting; trying to figure out what makes me feel comfy, cute, flirty, edgy, and all of the above.

It's all about being you. If that's keeping up with trends, I hope you never feel behind trend. If that's being a sexy rock-star; I urge you to look into Betty Davis. She was the ultimate badass. If that's a mixture of different aesthetics, don't ever let anyone make you feel its too much. You're more than enough. I hope you know you're more than enough and what you wear, whether its all you can afford or the latest Kim K inspired look, wear it and love it.

You're good enough.
