The Day After and Denim.
I wrote the content of this post yesterday, in good spirits and hopeful heart, but as I look at the words I crafted below I would be remiss if I didn't say today: Take care of self. DO what is necessary to remind yourself that just as you have been broken before, you were made to heal again. If you love denim than you have loved this Fall/Winter trends and you definitely loved last Spring/Summer trends. Denim is a staple in fashion, especially American fashion. It makes us feel connected to cowboys and summer time and sweet tea...well maybe that's just me, but certain fabrics make me nostalgic.
Denim is in and its being utilized in some remarkable ways, which has given it a modern edge. From the denim thigh boot trends to the Kardashians making sales surge for Levi's, denim is definitely not just a pair of jeans, but it can be a whole outfit.
I said earlier that I felt like an awesome love-child of Solange and Rick James. I still do. My outfit suggests the same.
Solange loves monochrome and Rick James loved matching sets, so when we throw denim in the mix we get a monochrome denim outfit.
Don't shy away from layering your denim pieces, it can create a high-fashion look without you trying. Everyone usually has a pair of jeans and a jean jacket, but paired together it makes a bold statement!
How are you wearing denim these days? What is your form of self care? This is mine.
Peace and a Whole Lotta' Love,
SavvySunflower
